The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation: The Yorkshire Marathon 2025 Charity Place Terms and Conditions

Taking part 

  • Thank you for submitting your application for a Natasha Allergy Research Foundation charity place in the Yorkshire Marathon in 2025. Upon receiving your application, we will be in touch with you to let you know if you have been successful and if we are able to offer you a charity place in the event.

  • Please note that The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation is not responsible for the organisation or management of this event, and therefore we shall have no liability to you for any injury, damage or loss suffered by you when taking part in or in connection with the event.   • You participate in this event at your own risk. The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation will not be held responsible for any injury or illness resulting from your participation in the event. If you are granted one of our charity places, you agree that you will undertake suitable training and consult your GP if you have any concerns regarding health or injury.

  • In the event of being unable to participate due to injury or any other issue, you must let us as soon as possible so that your place may be cancelled. 

  • The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation pays for each charity place and it is important that each place is used to raise at least the minimum fundraising target of £350 for the Foundation. We reserve the right to revoke a charity place offered to you if we have reason to believe you will not raise the minimum fundraising target of £350 or in other circumstances.

  • If your application is successful, your race place may be subject to the event taking place in the format and with the capacity planned for by the event organiser.

  • The event date, format, and capacity may be subject to change by the event organiser due to government guidance, social distance restrictions, weather or for any other reason.

  • The event may be cancelled due to government guidance, social distance restrictions, weather, or any other reason. The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation will not be held responsible.  In the event your race place is affected by any such changes, the event organiser and/or The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation will contact you about your place.

Fundraising 

  • You will use your best endeavours to raise money for The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation in connection with your participation in the event and, in particular aim to raise at least the minimum specified fundraising target if offered a charity place. You understand that Gift Aid doesn’t count towards your fundraising target.

  • Please note that all monies that you raise in connection with the event are held in trust for The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation and therefore you have a legal responsibility to ensure that all sponsorship monies/donations received in connection with an event are paid to us. We ask that you do this as soon as possible, but in any event within one month of the date of the event. 

Data protection 

  • When you submit your form, The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation collects your personal data. The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation is the data controller for this information. The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation may share your personal data with the event organiser as is necessary to obtain your place in the event.

    o               You understand that we may use, process and share your personal data for at least the following reasons: 

    o               to send you information about the event and your fundraising;

    o               with third parties as is necessary to provide you with the information and materials you need for the event;

    o               to comply with our statutory and regulatory obligations or as required by law.

Photography  

·      This event may be photographed or filmed for our use in print, press and online marketing. By attending this event you are giving consent for images of you and your supporters to appear in these. 

·       Photos and video footage captured by The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation and/or shared by you may be used on our website, through our social media channels, and in other marketing materials.
