It takes courage to be a kid with food allergies

11 year old Thomas Farmer, was diagnosed with a severe peanut allergy when he was just one. He is currently on the Natasha Clinical Trial for oral immunotherapy and in just one year, he can safely eat 6 peanuts a day without having a reaction! The study is due to finish in 2027 and so far it looks really promising.

His commitment to the trial, and helping raise awareness of serious food allergies has led to him to being awarded the prestigious Silver Blue Peter badge, as a symbol of recognition for showing kindness and making significant contributions to helping others. We couldn't be prouder of him!

“It was so amazing to get the Blue Peter badge for my contribution to the Natasha Trial and helping others with severe food allergies like me. Everyday I am so grateful to be part of the Natasha study and I am honoured to be recognised with this badge.” -Thomas Farmer

The Natasha Clinical Trial is a ground-breaking medical study that represents a crucial step toward finding more effective and long-term solutions for managing food allergies.

Participants like Thomas are playing a vital role in advancing our understanding of how to better protect and treat individuals with life-threatening allergic conditions. Thomas’s involvement in the trial has been inspiring.
